Sandhills Motoring Expo in the Village of Pinehurst just concluded with the concours event. 125 cars on the streets of the historic Village is such a beautiful scene. We started Friday morning with a 90 minute driving tour through Aberdeen, Southern Pines, Vass Horse Country and back to the Pine Crest Inn for lunch. Friday evening featured the Hagerty welcome party and the Expo Tent BBQ at Pine Crest Inn.
On Saturday, Expo events included a gimmick rally, and tours to Pottery Country and Starworks glass blowing. Dinner and car show at the airport was amazing too. A few showers threatened, but failed to materialize.
Many thanks to Sandhills members Chris and Maggie Smith for organizing and managing the event, and Porsche Greensboro and Hagerty as presenting sponsors.
A few of us were also at VIR for two days in late May. PCA and VIR Club member, Ken Kirkham does a fabulous job with 50 drivers and 10 instructors on the Full Course!
The summer is just getting started!
